Happy Monday everyone!! What a great weekend. I went home to surprise my family and I had a blast. My family was surprised to say the least and I even got to catch up with my high school sweetheart and my high school Spanish teacher. All in all, it was a short but sweet trip.

Anyway, here is today’s song. I heard it for the first time last night when I was driving home. Maybe it was because I hung out with my HS sweetheart and all this nostalgia came flooding back. Obviously things change. He and I have grown up so much since when we dated. We live in different states, he’s back in school and working part time. I work full time. He still lives with his parents. I live with my boyfriend. He gets drunk and does drugs on the weekend. I had two beers at the bar on Saturday night.

We are in different places in our life. Completely. He’ll always have a very special place in my heart. I’m not looking for anything from him.

But the little girl in me still looks back and wonders what if and if we could go back how it would have turned out. Where we would be now. Mostly I just want to go back to when everything was innocent. When things were simpler.
