If you thought day 7 was getting serious then it’s time to buckle up because there is a wide variety of quotes coming down the road. I love quotes. Quotes sometimes say everything I am thinking but didn’t want to say. When a song really spoke to me in college then I would use the song lyrics as my status.
I think there is something so raw and so sweet about this quote. I have been “broken” by so many different people and experiences, but then again, I think we all have. And I think we all have things that we try to use to put ourselves back together.
I guess more than anything, this is a note to the future people who love me. I am prone to breaking; I am prone to getting upset for reasons that you don’t understand but I promise that I am trying to piece myself back together. I wish I had more to say on the matter, I would like to be a fairly open person, but at the same time, I think that some things are better left unsaid. Some things are more rewarding when you work through them and you pick up the pieces primarily by yourself. Granted, I will take some help with the gluing!
At the end of the day, I do love myself, but I could love myself more. So that is what I am going to work on. And I am going to work on letting Jehovah help me pick up some of the heavier pieces so that when he brings the right guy in to my life, I will be able to love him completely and help him to pick up any broken pieces.
