Happy Friday! For my second Friend of the Week Friday the winner is another person that I work with. The main reason Barth wins is because I need a new car. My car is older than my younger sister and starting to die on me. My boyfriend and I have made repairs to it but I”m to the point where I just want to get something new. Going in to the search I had a few ideas what I wanted but wasn’t really sure. Barth said he was awesome at finding deals on cars so I gave him the rough info of what I was looking for an over the course of the next hour he sent me links to cars that he thought I would like. Let’s talk about awesome!
Barth almost didn’t make the cut this week because he did rain on my parade… (related to me wanting to move around at work) but when he realized how upset it made me he apologized…and told me that I needed to be slightly more realistic. (The key word being here that he apologized- and it was sincere- that’s more than I can say about most guys.) True, I’m VERY optimistic, but I could work on being a little more realistic as well (especially when he has more experience within the company than I do.)
Barth is also a great protector/rescuer (when he actually looks at his text messages.) A few weeks ago a bunch of people we work with were hanging out at the bar [after work] when I got stuck in a conversation with two guys, one of whom was attracted to me. I was trying to get out of the conversation but I didn’t want to be rude. So in swooped Barth to take me away from the conversation.
Finally, (at least for this week) Barth has one of my favorite/ (best) qualities I look for in a guy friend- I feel safe around him. I don’t have to worry about anything happening to me when he’s around. And that makes ME feel better.
